Ever wonder what others think about your blog? I know I do and so does one of our curious reader: Kat of LifesJewelsonString. Kat started her blog as a place to record her creative thoughts, craft ideas and experiences. On her blog you will find project notes, progress reports, tutorials and tips as well as other crater's projects she admires.. Oh, and she has her own Etsy shop, so be sure to check that out. =)
After reviewing her blog, here's what I like:
-Love the background picture- Very colorful
-It's always a plus to have page labels
-Good 'About Me' section
-Love the "You Might Also Like:" links
-Like the "What I'm.." section. Very interesting.
-Love the tutorial- especially the lamp and Thrifty pillow tutorials.
-Love the idea that this is her "scrapbook" of her thoughts, ideas, things she loves and admires.

Here's what I think she can improve on:
-Although the photos are beautiful, they are tad bit dark and fuzzy. So what I'd suggest is to do some light touch up. Make it brighter, darker. Play around with it until get the end result you like. There are many free programs that you can use. I personally like Windows Live Photo Gallery. It's not only free, but it's also very user-friendly.
Here's a before and after example of using the Windows Live Photo Gallery program on one of Kat's photo. I wanted to lighten the photo so I adjusted the brightness and shadow level. What do you think?

P.S-This photo belongs to Kat of Life's Jewels On String. You can find her lamp shade tutorial HERE.
-Love the background picture, however it's hard to see the whole picture because the Post box is blocking it. Position the picture where the box will not be overlapping it.
-Love
the DIY tutotiral, however, I think it can use a bit of work. For
example, your pillow tutorial.. Why not list it in steps. It makes it
easier for readers to follow. You can also list the materials you used
and where to buy it. Try to organize the tutorial into sections.

-And this is just my personal opinion: I don't think you need all the word labels at the bottom of the page.
Hmm, that's all I can think of. What are your thoughts? Please let Kat know by leaving a comment below. As always, constructive criticism is
welcome. =)
