How to get more followers

Be consistent and blog often.  By all means, you do not have to blog every day, you just have to be consistent. For example, do not blog every day for one week and then disappear for two. It is not only annoying, but it will be hard for your readers to follow and know when to check back or what to expect. After a while, they just won't come back. So, be consistent! I’ve found that a blog schedule is very helpful.  It keeps me organized and it also helps with writer's block; I know exactly what I want to write about and when.

Interact with other bloggers. Try to leave meaningful comments; not a one liner like “Good post” or “I followed you so please follow me back”. No, those type of comments do not attract good attention. You will be labeled as a “spammer”. So, follow and interact with those that really interest you.

Use pictures. What grabs your attention more- a long wordy blog post or a post with an intriguing picture and few words? Use pictures along with your words to tell the story. 

Be Creative. Host a giveaway or blog hop. This one can bring in a lot of new followers since it is usually required to become a follower in order to enter. Your views can go from 10 views per day to over 100..

Ask a question at the end of your posts. It gives readers a reason to leave a comment.

Be Informative. Update your twitter, facebook, and pinterest when you update your blog.

Keep it Simple. You know how people hate cluttered spaces… Well, they hate a cluttered blog too..  Blogs that look disorganize and have ads and/or popups popping up everywhere is extremely annoying. I do not follow these type of blogs . So, please try to keep your blog design as simple as possible.

Be original. Don’t copy others or steal their contents. If you do decide to do something similar, don't just copy, be inspired by it and make it your own. Remember, readers/customers like originality. They want you to Just Be you.
